About Gabby

Gabrielle Joehnk, M.A.

I’m Gabby Joehnk, a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern specializing in couples work. I am passionate about supporting couples in exploring the emotional patterns, histories, and narratives that influence their relationship.

I have trained in psychodynamic and narrative therapy—approaches that invite a deeper understanding of how past experiences and internal stories influence the present. When couples begin to see these layers with more clarity, they often discover new ways to connect, communicate, and care for one another.

While these approaches guide my overall lens, I also draw from additional models to offer practical tools for navigating conflict, strengthening emotional safety, and building a more intentional partnership. My hope is to create a space where both partners feel understood and supported as they move toward the relationship they want to build together.

I also have experience working in integrated medical settings, using a bio-psycho-social and spiritual approach to support individuals facing health-related challenges. Working with patients in that framework taught me how deeply our emotional, physical, relational, and spiritual worlds intertwine and strengthened my ability to sit with complexity and meet clients with empathy, presence, and respect. These experiences continue to inform and enrich my work with couples.

I would be honored to help you rewrite your story—both individually and as a couple.
